Coming
I would like a more open web, where we are not completely locked in to the tech giants algorithms. I am bored of everything being connected to google, meta and amazon and endless social media scrolling whilst being tracked and advertised to.
I am nostalgic about a lot of things, one of them is the 'cyberweb' spirit of the 90s, where a lot of people had their own websites and formed communities this way.
Inspired by the indieweb and smallweb movements, I set out to code this site with my limited knowledge of html.
In this spirit, I am considering the following sections to include in the site:
- CDs - maybe some reviews?
- Drawing - I am currently on a mission to learn how to draw properly.
- Gaming - I currently own a PS1, PS3, PS4 - and a classic Game Boy :)
- Photography - I am passionate about analogue photography, but often resort to the iphone as it is always around...
- On my bedside table - literally - currently reading
- It would also be nice to get an outlet for my nostalgia for the 90s and 2000s, like make a page in the vibe of a specific year...?
- 1999 - the year I should have started to learn html but didn't. (A shrine for my obsessions at the time: Tori Amos and South Park?)
Let's reclaim a piece of the web - so exciting!
